The Mixed Spring Golf Carnival held on Nov 7 and 8 attracted a good field of 100 players from Perth and South West clubs to Denmark for two days of fun in perfect golfing weather.

The 4BBB Stableford on Saturday was taken out by the red hot team of Irene Stone and Sue O’Connor with 46 points from runners up Aaron Nussey and Paul Harbron on 45 points on a countback from third placed team Alan Johns and John Percival and fourth placed Janice Moore and Margaret Middleton.

Fifth place went to Peter Graney and Brett Emmerton with best visitors Gail and Colin McCulloch from Perth Golf Network and best mixed combination Jane and Nigel Dudley.

Sponsors Scott Leary of Albany City Motors and Steve Hall of Rockcliffe Wines were on hand to present prizes

The Combined Stableford on Sunday saw the team of Steve Mirco and Bob Newman on 73 points edge out runners up Jane Abbott and Sharon Dawson on 72 points. Third place went to Julie Ross and Doreen Hughes on 69 points, fourth place to Fred Knight and Nick Dwyer on 65 on a countback from fifth placed Jannene Guy and Margaret Middleton.

Best visitors team was Brent Burton and Colin Burton from Walpole and best mixed team Angela Tillier and Mike Marshall.  

Best individual score on Sunday came from the red hot golfer of the weekend Sue O’Connor on 40 points from next best Christine Swingler of Sea View Golf Club on 35 points.

Sunday sponsors Dennis Davis of Nutrien Harcourts played in the event and presented the prizes and Silverstream Wines conducted a wine tasting.
