Results Thursday June 18

Stroke event incorporating 1st round of the Silver Spoon and International Bowl.

The wet and difficult conditions kept many home and only four players ventured out.

The day was won by Marion Nelson with scores of 87/78 nett, the best gross went to Annette Harbron with scores of 93/80 nett.

Jo Haub went around with 29 putts.

The 18 Hole Match Play final was contested on Sunday June 21 between Jane Dudley and Doreen Hughes.

All square after the first nine holes, Jane held her nerve and played steady fairway golf to win 4 and 2 on the third last hole.

Doreen encountered rotten luck when she lost balls on #5 fairway and #7 fairway in the  muddy edges.

Well done to all the players who competed in this year’s match play.
