The President of the Denmark Country Club – Irene Stone – and all the members of the Management Committee and indeed all members of the Denmark Country Club, wish to thank the many people who have offered their assistance following the events that occurred earlier this year.
You may have heard about the malicious damage which was inflicted on the Denmark Golf Course by a person (or persons) unknown. The members of the Denmark Country Club and the whole Denmark Community were shocked and dismayed by the damage.
We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from locals and indeed all over Australia to help us overcome this obstacle.
In particular we wish to thank:
David and Adam, our ground staff who have worked tirelessly to minimise the effects and bring our course back to its beautiful best
– all who have contacted us with offers of support and services to help us deal with the damage
– advice and assistance we have received from Green Keepers from all over Australia
– donations of chemicals and fertilisers from local companies to overcome the effects of the damage
– paint to disguise the graffiti as it displays
– but most of all to the volunteers at the Denmark Country Club who have galvanised together to overcome this senseless vandalism.
We sincerely thank you all.
